Craft madness

wooden houses

 Prizes I won!

my work station
Finished blanket
My sister holds a craft madness event every four months. I love going. It's time away with dedication to anything I need to complete without any interruptions. The event started Friday night at 7pm and I left Saturday at 5pm. The only break I took was to sleep for 3 hours and take shower. In a 24 hour period I made: Three personalized houses, necklace, candy pouches, and Brecklyn's Elmo blanket. Also in the mean time there was "wow technique" classes, drawings every hour for prizes, midnight madness, "hoot" drawings and lots of food!!!

Tweet Tweet

Whit and Brecklyn were out on a walk and found this baby bird. It was shivering and really weak. We tired to warm it up and feed it, but it wouldn't eat or let us do much for it. We debated for a bit to keep it and nurse it back to health...... no more animals in this home. Even if we tried I don't think it would have made it through the night. We wished it luck and placed it in a safe place in hopes it would survive.

Conference Weekend

Ran errands all day Saturday(going out for lunch, getting our hair done, grocery shopping) thanks to DVR we watched all of conference on Sunday.
We watched Sophia for the weekend. B loved being "the big sister" She helped make her bottles, bed, change her, read her books, and entertained her too:)
I love to cook while listening to the talks. I made more homemade salsa, peanut butter bars, chicken enchiladas, all for Sunday dinner at the in laws.

ELMO BIRTHDAY

B had an awesome birthday!!! The theme this year was Elmo, if you couldn't tell. Elmo is her life, she askes to watch CinderElmo a million times a day. She's even got to the point to pretend she is sick so she can lay on the couch with her blanky and watch Elmo. Sneaky girl... Anyways, first off, she got breakfast in bed and then opened a new princess crown and shoes to wear all day. She was extra excited her birthday landed on a Sunday(church day). I told her she could wear her crown and shoes to church but she insisted they stay home where they would be safe.... We had a small get together, oops, with family it's never small, but that's what made it SO fun!! Whit's sister Anna made the HUGE Elmo cake. She did amazing job, super talented! Ate lots of food, opened presents, and played outside. Justin and Annie gave B a fish. Guess what she choose to name her fish? Oh.... Elmo. We now have "Elmo da fish".

Preschool

Brecklyn started preschool a few weeks ago. She goes Monday and Wednesdays from 10-12. She is learning the alphabet, so when she comes home she tells me about the new letter she learned and it's sound. It's so weird to take her to school. All the other kids in her class are 3, but she fits right in. It's so good for her to have time with her friends and for me to have MY time too!

B and Camden

These two kiddo's are a crack up! During FHE they both sat quietly on their own blankets and listened to the lesson on "I am a child of God" and B sang really loud to all the songs. The best part of the night- treat time. Two big helper to clean up the mess. It was a really fun night.

Lucky Charm

B LOVES to dance and entertain. We went to a pool party for Academy Mortgage and they had a dance off for anyone 14 years and younger. B didn't hesitate with the large crowd, she pushed her way in and danced away. She made it to the top 10, top 5 and then finally, it was between her and one other girl. It was up to the crowd to cheer for the best dancer, and she won!!!! It was so dang cute. The grand prize was a green iPod Shuffle!

Grandpa Morris

Paul Mark Morris 10/9/1917 ~ 8/8/2011 Our loving husband and father, Paul Mark Morris, has now "Gone Home" to his Heavenly Father. He was born in American Falls (Readyville), Idaho, the fourth of 12 children to Sarah and Parley Morris. His steadfast faith in Christ and example extends to his large posterity and all who know and love him. His LDS mission to the Southern States laid the foundation for his life. He married his sweetheart, Helen D. Abraham, in the Salt Lake Temple on February 6, 1945, while serving in the U.S. Air Corps. Their mission to South Africa in 1988 was a highlight of their life together. He served as a Bishop and in many other callings and was a faithful home teacher. Paul and Helen have been blessed with eight children: Brent (Shauna), Susan (Chris) Swain, Bonnie (Steven) Shaw, Dixie (Jack) Sloan, Diane (Bill) Wilson, Carol (Chuck) Schmitt, Gem (Eileen), and Steven (Penny). They have 30 grands, 40 greats. He loved the little children and they loved him. He is also survived by his loving wife, two sisters, Mavis Oswald, Cherryl Rose and brother, Grant Morris. The family would like to extend a heart-felt thanks to the wonderful staff at Alta Ridge and CareSource for their loving and tender care of dad. Paul's farewell service will be held Saturday, August 13, 12:00 p.m. at the Cottonwood Acres Ward, 981 E. 5600 So.
